Very simply Start the saw and set the 'T' just so the chain is turning. Smoothly run the 'L' in and out to get the best chain speed. Readjust the chain speed with the 'T' and reset the best 'L' Back the 'T' out till the chain stops creeping,,,,,and a tad more. If you feel comfortable * 'safely' set the 'H' a little richer or out from anything you think it will take.

Echo makes a good saw as well, believe the 4910 is still available but that saw really needs muffler work to realize it’s full potential. The echos are hard to beat for the price. Not the fastest but dead reliable and easy starting.First I soak the chain over night in a mixture of 1 cup of ammonia to 1 gallon of water. Remove chain and rinse in WD 40. Hang to dry. Then sharpen. Soak in oil over night, then hang to drip off excess oil. The chains look and feel like new !
