Jun 13, 2020 · King slime has recently had some reworkings, such as the minions he spawns will not drop souls, im pretty sure this extends into any rare biome drop too, such as yoyos, keys, ect. I would advise whenever an event pops up to do it anywhere but your base, or to construct the one you need.

You can get key drops before killing plantera, the key has a tooltip when attempting use before killing plantera that says the curse of the jungle prevents the key being used.
